Serre Chevalier: one of the largest ski areas in France
Serre Chevalier in a few figures
The Serre Chevalier resort has one of the largest networks of ski slopes in France. The Grand Serre Che has 66 lifts over its 250 kilometres of downhill ski slopes. More than 140 hectares of runs have man-made snow to ensure optimum snow conditions throughout the season. The highest point is the Pic de l’Yret at Monetier (Serre Chevalier 1500).
114 downhill ski runs:
23 green runs, 32 blue runs, 42 red runs and 15 black runs, marked and maintained by the slope services of Serre Chevalier.
35 kilometres of cross country skiing courses:
15 kilometres of classic cross country skiing courses and 20 kilometres for ski skating, 8 loops adapted to all skill levels.
Serre Chevalier, the resort for new winter sports
We’ve made a special place for new winter sports at Serre Chevalier: with a snowpark, a boardercross run and a half-pipe, die-hard freestyle skiers and snowboarders won’t know where to start. For freeride enthusiasts, the resort has many snowy slopes through larch forests, numerous off-piste routes as well as an ARVA Park (avalanche victim detector) and ARVA Control centres to test your safety equipment, an absolute must before any off-piste runs.
